The trip to Alabama was a wonderful opportunity to visit with family. You never realize just how long you've been away until you return home. While I did not grow up in Alabama, I feel like I've always been a part of the family. I guess 12 years of marriage and three kids give you a branch on the family tree.
During our stay in the Heart of Dixie we visited Maw Turner, Jamie's grandmother, for the first time in quite a few years. She is such an amazing and wonderful woman, even at 90 years young!
